Jake works in Linoleum reduction printing, a process made famous by Pablo Picasso. Reduction prints are made from one linoleum block which is printed multiple times. This process is often referred to as the suicide print. The block is carved between each printing so that less of the block prints each time. The entire edition must be printed from the start. No proofs can be made and no part of the process can be reprinted.
